Pradeep Gaikwad comes from a family rooted in education, engineering, and the values of hard work.

His father was a civil engineer who later retired from his profession, while his mother, a graduate in Political Science, dedicated herself to the family as a homemaker. His family roots can be traced back to farming in the Barshi taluka region, a background that shaped his appreciation for perseverance, simplicity, and staying connected to his roots.

Pradeep pursued his education in Electronics Engineering, but his professional journey soon took him well beyond engineering.

From Engineering to Entrepreneurship

He began his career in the automotive industry, working with commercial vehicle businesses and dealerships. His early entrepreneurial experience included Eicher Motors truck dealership operations, Mahindra commercial vehicles, and a Mahindra & Mahindra stockyard serving Maharashtra.

These years gave him firsthand experience in managing businesses, working with customers, building teams, and understanding the realities of running operations at scale.

Eventually, he decided to step away from the automotive industry and leave Solapur to explore two longstanding interests—sports and cinema.

A Deep Connection with Cricket

Cricket has been an important part of Shailendra’s journey for decades.

In 1996, he began running Pushp Gymkhana in Solapur, Maharashtra, developing it as a space for cricket and sporting activities. His involvement in sports gradually grew from managing a cricket club and ground to exploring opportunities in sports entrepreneurship.

His journey later extended to professional cricket, including involvement as a co-owner of the Kochi Tuskers Kerala IPL team.

For him, sports has always represented more than competition—it has been about creating opportunities, developing talent, and building an environment where people can pursue the game they love.

Exploring the World of Cinema

His interest in cinema eventually led him to Mumbai and into filmmaking.

He gained experience working as an assistant director with filmmaker Anees Bazmee, getting an opportunity to understand filmmaking from close quarters.

He was also associated with projects including the Telugu remake of Malamaal Weekly and ** Bhagya Lakshmi Bumper Draw**, gaining experience across different aspects of film production and filmmaking.

The experience offered a completely different perspective from his earlier entrepreneurial career—one that combined creativity, people, production, and storytelling.

Building Across Industries

Over the years, Shailendra’s professional interests have expanded across sports, real estate development, automobiles, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.

He has also been associated with investments and ventures in the hospitality and restaurant space, reflecting his continuing interest in exploring businesses beyond his original field.

Rather than following a single career path, his journey has been shaped by curiosity and a willingness to start something new.
